Free vs. Pro: Plans and Limits
ERD Factory has two tiers, Free and Pro. The only thing that differs between them is your monthly AI usage budget — everything else (unlimited projects, saved schemas, collections, version history, the Draft → Ready → Implemented workflow, and Compare) is unrestricted on both tiers.
What's gated: AI usage
Every call to the three Gemini-backed features — AI Schema Analysis, Applying AI-Suggested Fixes, and generating a Change Request — draws from a shared monthly token budget:
- Free — 50,000 tokens/month
- Pro — 1,500,000 tokens/month
This is measured in actual Gemini tokens (input plus output), not a count of calls — a small schema costs far less than a large one. Your current usage against the cap is visible on the Dashboard's AI usage chart at any time.
How the cap is enforced
It's a soft cap, checked before each call rather than mid-call: if you're already at or past your monthly total, the next AI call is rejected up front with a message pointing at the upgrade path, but a call that's already in flight is never cut off, even if it pushes you over the limit. The cap resets at the start of each calendar month.
