Managing Your Subscription
Billing lives entirely in the Dashboard's Subscription tile — there's no separate account or settings page. The same Upgrade CTA also appears on the public Pricing page for signed-out visitors.
Upgrading to Pro
Click Upgrade to Pro on the Subscription tile (or a Pro CTA on the Pricing page) to open the upgrade dialog, choose Monthly ($9) or Yearly ($90), and confirm. You're redirected to a Stripe Checkout page to enter payment details — nothing about your card ever touches ERD Factory's own servers.
After a successful payment, Stripe redirects you back to the Dashboard. The Subscription tile's Free/Pro pill updates once Stripe's webhook has confirmed the new subscription and recorded it on your account, which is normally near-instant; if the pill still shows Free a few seconds after landing back on the Dashboard, refresh the page.
Changing billing cycle, payment method, or invoices
Once you're on Pro, the tile's button changes to Manage billing. This opens Stripe's hosted Customer Portal, where you can update your payment method, switch between monthly and yearly billing, and view past invoices, all without needing any additional in-app controls.
Cancelling / downgrading to Free
Cancellation is also handled from the Customer Portal via the same Manage billing button, rather than a separate in-app "downgrade" button. Cancelling doesn't drop you to Free the instant you confirm it — you keep full Pro access for the rest of the billing period you've already paid for, and your account automatically reverts to Free the moment the subscription actually ends.
If a renewal payment ultimately fails and Stripe is unable to keep the subscription active, the same automatic downgrade applies — Free is always the fallback state, and re-upgrading later is exactly the same flow as the first time.
